An architecture is the stable, or intentionally invariant property of a system[1]. When trying to study architectural planning as a intellectual subject, it might be easier to think about architectures as properties with different time-scales for their changes. This will allow one to treat all interactive factors in an architectural planning task to be as general as possible.
