Observation: Doing Science and decisions unconsciously?
In a recorded public lecture by physicist Murray Gellmann, he stated that scientists are prohibited to talk about consciousness. It became an important research topic for him during his later years. It is funny to think that if scientists have been barred from studying consciousness, then, what are we really doing in science? Doing science and engineering unconsciously?
The paper on Stepping Beyond the Newtonian Paradigm in Biology[3], provides some modeling techniques to encode this kind of phenomenon.
