LO AND BEHOLD (A BRIEF RELECTION)

This documentary movie is directed by Werner Herzog with the complete title: "Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World". This movie consists of ten chapters telling us about the very beginning invention of the Internet in the University of California, Los Angeles; the development of the Internet of Things and the Artificial Intelligence; the dark side of the Internet the phenomenal hackers and what they did; and insights about what the Internet technologies look like and could be in the future.

This movie is one of few documentary movies I watched full, without skipping any second, and even I repeated some scenes just to make sure that I did not miss any point. This movie gave me new knowledge and insight into how the Internet era begins, its merits and drawbacks, the out-of-control development of it, and how to deal with all the overflowing information we get from it.

For me, who is a newbie in big data management and all those Internet-technology-things, everything looks incredible yet scary at the same time. As one of the interviewees said that there is no control on the Internet, people (humans) will have to be their own control. It means we should have the mindfulness about everything we do in front of our laptop and smartphone camera to then submit, upload (or download anything) from the Internet. Because we never know what or who will infiltrate our account and use all the data for whatever their interests.

Well, to be honest, I do not have any idea how to read the codes or how to transform them into the proper normal human language. I need an insight, please.
