Transparency in the context of computing science has the following meaning:
- Data content is available to all stakeholders that has adequate rights.
- The source code that are used to manipulate the data must be known by all stakeholders.
- The identities of stakeholders who might see or change the data must be traceable.
All the above transparency conditions should also satisfy available means to guarantee privacy and security policies.
