Quantum mechanics is the synonym of quantum physics. It is better to use the word: mechanics, rather than physics, because it helps better isolate the notion of physical phenomenon from the nature of quanta, which is about an artificial act of measurement or conscientious decision. Knowing that quantum phenomena, such as entanglement and superposition, are inherently scale-free, they are not bound to particular physical phenomenon. It is more about a framework of reasoning about causal relations. Therefore, quantum mechanics is not just about physical phenomenon, but more about meta physics based on data and observations. The phrase: "Shut up and calculate!", best illustrate this property of the nature of intellectual discourses in the discipline of quantum mechanics.
