Knowledge container can be thought of as an institution, a social function, or a technical artifact. For example, a music conservatory or a university or a research lab is a knowledge container on an institutional level. Community libraries, hackerspaces, are a organizations that perform social functions that help contain knowledge. Knowledge container can also be thought of as a technological artifact that helps collect, store, and navigate knowledge content, such as MediaWiki.
