Problem Statement:
How to empower farmer groups within Pasar Rakyat Bali community to survive during the covid pandemic.

In bigger scenario, Pasar Rakyat community expected to develop farmer groups to have more resilient by building their knowledge for better product quality and quantity and matching product with market needs to keep farmer still productive.


GOAL:
Building farmer groups data profile of Mitra Pasar Rakyat as base data management strategy to leverage farmer groups database as a business asset for greater business agility to deliver valuable information across the business with data-driven decision making methodology.

BY : Enriching farmer groups database information such as land conditions, product types, planting period, harvest period and assistance needs to match with market needs.

Farming groups database of information such as land location and climate conditions, product types, planting period, harvest period, assistance needs, financial needs.


Address the stakeholders, define the target points, develop a model, test the model in live scenarios, improve the model, present the model to Pasar Rakyat.

Backround

  1. Since pandemic covid-19, Bali was closed to tourist entering.
  2. Tourism industry that makes 80% of Bali's economy, has fallen apart.
  3. Public markets are deserted and food distribution network has interrupted.
  4. Farmer harvests are left rotting in the field while the people on the streets are starving
  5. On April 17th 2020, Pasar Rakyat Bali initiative was created to help local farmer and people with no food to eat such as : Teaching farmers how to make their own organic fertilizer, Bought from the Farmers over production, Working side by side with the farmers, women's group and other that want to help. By the end of 2020 : Donated hundreds of tons of foods and thousands of cooked meals. Hopefully, be able to expand this program to maintain food security.

As the conclusion and way forward to Pasar Rakyat, we plan to continue our development as follow

  1. Develop Knowledge ( Agriculture, Financial, Market)
  2. Strengthen the Pasar Rakyat ecosystem ( Creating Pasar Rakyat as Cooperative Entity)
  3. We Had discussion with Pertamina to Support with CSR (Soft loan and Grant) to Speed up Pasar Rakyat
